Can dogs eat avocado?

It is not safe for your dog to have avocado. Avocados naturally contain persin, a fungicidal toxin, which can cause serious health problems. Also, avocado based foods, such as Guacamole, should be avoided because they often contain onions and garlic which is toxic to dogs.
